Picasa the Great.

So I've started step one of organizing my photos, and that's getting them organized into dated folders, and running Google Picasa thru them to index them.

If you don't have a good tool to organize your photos, and you are also looking to host them somewhere, Picasa is a great tool.

Easy to manage (all client side), easy to organize into web albums, and a snap to upload to Google Web Albums.

Got video? It can organize and upload video as well.

Now I have the daunting task of sifting through 3500 photos in my "My Pictures" folder, but Picasa will go a long way to making it easier.
